Simon Cunningham is an experienced and successful Chief Executive Officer in the international telecommunications industry with a proven track record of acquisitions and disposals, business restructuring, change management and integration. He has spent virtually all of his career working overseas and has specific experience of the USA, Caribbean, Japan, Asia and the Middle East.

Prior to co-founding CPS Partners, he was CEO of Cable & Wireless' Middle East, Monaco and Islands region spanning 16 businesses across the globe, responsible for 4,000 staff and for consolidated profits of approaching $200 million-representing about one-third of Cable and Wireless PLC's net income. Prior to that he was Chief Operating Officer for Cable & Wireless' National Telco businesses - all the company's operations outside the UK - focused on key business improvement projects including preparation for mobile competition and business restructuring at key Caribbean operations.

In USA, as CEO of Cable & Wireless America from 2002-2003, he was responsible for the restructuring and integration of 4 largely separate operations that together were losing more than $400 million per annum into a viable standalone business which was the No.2 web-hosting company and Tier 1 Internet provider in the US. The restructured company had annual revenues of more than $500 million, employed 1,500 staff and was on track to be cash-generative within 18 months of the start of the turnaround. He presented the restructured business to potential buyers and successfully sold it through auction to Savvis for $155 million.

Mr.Cunningham also has extensive experience in Japan, where he led the acquisition of IDC, Japan's No.2 international services operator with revenues of $600 million per annum. From 1999-2002, as CEO of the company, he created a cash-flow positive growth company focused on providing voice, data, internet and hosting services for the business customer from a company where revenues were previously declining at 20% per annum. This role included the added responsibilities of CEO Cable & Wireless Asia, a business with total revenues of $700 million and employing 1,300 staff.

Prior to joining Cable & Wireless, Mr.Cunningham held senior operational positions in the oil and gas industry with Schlumberger.

He holds a BSc (First-class) from the University of London and is a Visiting Fellow from the Sloane School of Management, M.I.T.
