David Gleave

David Gleave is a senior manager with more than 20 years experience in the international telecommunications sector. He is skilled in product management, traffic management, pricing and gross margin management. He specialises in launching new telecommunications services and in pricing strategies for network operators and service providers worldwide. He has a strong track record of achievement in both fixed and mobile businesses in a diverse range of business environments including USA, South America, the Caribbean and Europe with in depth experience of both national telco's and new competitive entrants.

From 1997-2004, prior to his recent role advising international telecommunications clients on strategy and pricing issues, he held senior management positions in Cable & Wireless America - latterly as Vice President Marketing with specific responsibility for pricing and margin management in a $600 million turnover business that offered a complete range of data, Internet and web-hosting products. Prior to that, as Senior Director Product Management, he was responsible for the launch of a range of new hosting and network services for large enterprises.

From 1994-1997, Mr. Gleave was based firstly in Colombia as in-country Project Director for the successful launch of a new-entrant cellular network. He subsequently became Head of Strategy, Planning and Pricing for Cable & Wireless' Caribbean region where he developed and implemented the marketing and pricing plans for a diverse range of national telco operations across 15 Caribbean countries, encompassing all voice, data and regional mobile services.

Prior to joining Cable & Wireless, he held engineering positions with GEC Telecommunications in UK and Mitel Corporation in Canada.

Mr. Gleave holds a B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
